You Spin Me Right Round: Color Trends for Fall 2021

Home color and design trends change so quickly, it can make your head spin. So, whether you are a trendsetter, you are looking for a fresh update or you just like to see what’s on the horizon, it might be fun to take a look at what’s coming for Fall and Winter. And think how impressed your friends and colleagues might be when you know the pantone colors for fall 2021—like peach nougat!

Pantone's fall color palette is rich and full of jewel tones. But remember, less saturated versions of the colors are great options as well if you are feeling a little shy about taking the plunge in your Sonoma County home.

First up? Magenta Purple leads the list as a premier color for fall. It’s a highly saturated purplish red shade that resembles the color of one of my favorite fruits—a plum. And while it’s a beautiful rich color, it might be best in small doses. Think vases, snuggly throws or candles.

Green is always in style as it invokes the feeling of the outdoors. This fall, green is deep and rich. Ultramarine Green has a touch of blue and transmits feelings of peace and serenity. Go bold and paint the whole wall—or pick up a couple of pillows in this agreeable tone.

The Pantene color of the year, Classic Blue, is still carrying steam as we head into fall. It’s well suited for a traditional room, an industrial setting or even a farmhouse! Blue adds a touch of sophistication when paired with white and beige and its timelessness makes it a solid choice for larger surfaces.

And of course, Peach Nougat! This powdery tone of salmon is warm and bright without too much intensity. It’s beautiful paired with green, blue or gray. Touches of peach nougat could add serenity to a bedroom as a bed covering or drapes.
